| Petit Jean State Park
Right next door to Tanyard Springs is beautiful Petit Jean
State Park, which was the first state park in Arkansas. Complete
with swimming pool, tennis courts, playground and four lakes,
there is something for everyone. Whether you are hiking to
the bottom of Cedar Falls (a magnificent 94 foot waterfall)
or enjoying the many scenic overlooks that offer incredible
views of the Arkansas River and valley below, you will be
reminded again and again of why Arkansas is "The Natural
State." Visit Arkansas.com

Other Attractions
Petit Jean Mountain is also home to the Museum
of Automobiles,
a showcase of antique and classic cars, and the world famous
Winrock Farms that specialize in raising and selling purebred
Santa Gertrudis cattle. A private, non-profit organization,
Winrock International is responsible for much of the agricultural
research done in third world countries. For those visitors
that wish to visit Petit Jean via airplane, the park owns
a mile long public air strip that is open for daytime use
only, making Petit Jean State Park the only park with its
own airport.
